Cookie Policy

Effective date: 17 Aug 2025
Last updated: 17 Aug 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Mokka Studios (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

• Cookies are small text files placed on your device to store information.
• LocalStorage/SessionStorage are browser storage technologies that keep data in your browser.
• Pixels/Tags/SDKs are snippets that help measure usage and campaign performance.
Some cookies are first-party (set by us) and some are third-party (set by service providers).

2. How we use cookies (by category)

By default we only use Essential cookies. Everything else is off until you say yes in the banner. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie Settings in the footer.
• Essential (always on): Keep the site working and secure, balance traffic, deliver forms, remember your consent choice.
Examples: consent preference cookie, session/security tokens.
• Preferences (optional): Remember your settings (e.g., language or UI preferences).
Examples: saved language or layout choice.
• Analytics (optional): Help us understand what’s working so we can improve. Runs with Google’s Consent Mode and only after you consent.
Examples: Google Analytics 4 page views, CTA/form interactions.
• Marketing (optional): Measure campaign effectiveness and show more relevant content. Off by default and used only if you enable it.
Examples: advertising/retargeting tags.
Live list: The exact cookies/technologies in use for your region are shown in Cookie Settings and update based on your choices.

3. Our consent approach

• On first visit, only Essential runs.
• If you accept Analytics, GA4 operates with identifiers (client/session IDs). If you decline, GA4 stays in restricted, cookieless mode.
• You can change or withdraw consent anytime via Cookie Settings in the site footer. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.

4. What analytics we collect (if you consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage and funnel events (e.g., page views, CTA clicks, form interactions). We do not use GA for advertising features unless you separately enable Marketing. IP handling and data retention follow our GA4 configuration.
Retention: event-level analytics data is held up to 14 months.

5. Managing cookies

• Cookie Settings: Use the banner/footer link to review choices anytime.
• Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• Do Not Track: We respect your explicit consent choices in the banner; generic DNT signals are not interpreted consistently across browsers.

6. International transfers

Analytics and some service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other safeguards.

7. Third-party services (how to identify them)

Where third-party services are used (e.g., hosting/CDN, analytics, embedded media), their cookies/technologies will appear in Cookie Settings → “Details” with name, provider, purpose, and duration. Marketing/retargeting tags are disabled by default and will only run if you enable Marketing.

8. Retention and expiry

Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
• Persistent cookies last for a defined period (shown in Cookie Settings).
• Analytics retention is configured to ≤14 months.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect technology or legal changes. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be communicated via the banner or on this page.
